The Annual Expressive Arts Musical is an annual event, offered free to the community, that involves many of the children and adults who participate in the music & art therapy programs at Ann Storck Center. This event provides the opportunity for our individuals to express themselves and showcase their talents and abilities through the creation and performance of an original musical stage production.
Six months of preparation goes into the creation of the performance. The performers work closely with the music therapist to brainstorm ideas for the show, write the script, and write and record the music. The performers rehearse for 14 weeks with the music therapist and an entire team of volunteers, comprised primarily of Ann Storck Center employees before bringing the show to the stage of the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Theater at Nova Southeastern University.
2018 is the 17th performance produced by the Ann Storck Center and the 15th performance to take place at the Miniaci Theater. The performance is an inclusive, free-to-the-public event that showcases the creativity and achievements of our individuals and proves that creativity is beyond boundaries!
This event is FREE for the public!
