Florida's Voice on Developmental Disabilities is information based. Our goal is to increase the usability of this website to those in need. We provide more updated news, events around the state. Check out Our Gallery to see who is involved, what we are doing, and where FVDD is.
Florida's Voice is a great networking resource for those in need of and looking for information about Medicaid / iBudget, legislation, and help for those with autism, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, Prader-Willi, and Spina Bifida. Make A Difference
Making a difference in the life of a person with developmental disabilities is not only beneficial to others, it brings joy to all those involved. Florida’s Voice on Developmental Disabilities (FVDD) helps families and friends learn about services, resources, programs, events, and laws and legislation as they pertain to persons with developmental disabilities. We are a resource, a network, and a voice advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the state of Florida.
- We share commonalities and issues, but we share them together because the larger the group the louder the voice.
- We promote choice for services and programs for all families through our members assisting as friends of council on legislative issues and legal matters.
- We bring families statewide together, cohesively, on common interests and promote them together.
- We provide friends and families of persons with developmental disabilities with the information, skills, opportunities, and support to:
- Make informed choices and decisions about their lives
- Live in homes and communities in which such individuals can exercise their full rights and responsibilities as citizens
- Pursue meaningful and productive lives
- Contribute to families, communities, and States, and the Nation
FVDD provides the most recent news and updates so you have a better understanding of your rights and choices. From Medicaid waivers to legislative issues to legal rights, Florida’s Voice on Developmental Disabilities serves as an advocate for dignity and choice for persons with developmental disabilities.
